Paul Jenkins

PaulPaul, the founder of Ability, brings a wealth of recruitment experience that spans from high street agency through to senior search. Prior to Ability , Paul was Managing Director of a large well respected market leader with offices across Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire, Paul then went on to spearhead an executive recruitment brand for a well known Plc. A breadth of experience across market sectors has enabled Paul to understand and work effectively at all levels from shop floor to company director. He is well known within the recruitment industry as an innovator and early adopter of ground breaking techniques. Paul also brings experience as a top performing consultative salesperson negotiating multi million pound projects. Since founding Ability Selection, Paul has successfully recruited for a number of market leading companies in the print, mail and software industries. A member of Xplor and other industry leading groups, Paul is a consummate networker with strong industry contacts.

 

Jan Steward

JanBefore joining Ability Jan was a search consultant at a City based consultancy, with a particular focus on resourcing key marketing, sales and business development roles, working in retained relationships with blue chip organisations in telcoms, financial services and travel. Previously, Jan was a founding director (1992) and Client Services Director of Stepping Stones Consultancy Ltd a successful organisational development business consultancy. Stepping Stones works in change management particularly in the service industry, and with a strong experience in direct marketing and CRM. Jan‘s personal expertise has been around helping organisations build successful cultures that produce results. In particular creating high performing teams that enable customer centric thinking and working throughout the company. As well as the experience gained within Stepping Stones, Jan also has a successful track record in recruitment and as a senior manager with expertise in start-ups and turnarounds for a major Irish Bank in their leasing and mortgage divisions. She is a frequent lecturer at the Institute of Direct Marketing and played a major part in the Institute’s launch of the Interactive Diploma in Direct Marketing, contributing the core modules on CRM and Loyalty. Jan has a European MA in Mediation and Conflict Resolution from the Kurt Bosch University of Sion, Switzerland in conjunction with London School of Economics.
